- Additionaly, you can place ingredients into a food processor and blitz until combined. Optional. Place desired amounts of shredded coconut or almonds in the bottom of the ice cube tray.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the tray. 1⁄2 fill the trays.
- Place in freezer for quick set, or in the fridge overnight. Keep in the fridge when not serving.
- Note: for milk chocolate. Allow the mixture to cool slightly then add 1⁄2 tablespoon of coconut cream. Stir well.
Gently melt coconut oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla extract into melted oil until well blended. Pour mixture into a candy mold or pliable tray. The raw cacao tastes a bit more bitter, while the cocoa was a little less stark and had a more familiar taste on the palette. Cacao wins in health benefits, but cocoa powder wins in taste for me. *To keep this chocolate raw, use cacao powder and this method (water bath).
